FDOT District 5 Design-Build:
There is a lot more than just I-4

We know you have an opinion...so come share it with FDOT District 5 and help them refine their approach to Design-Build RFQ/Ps.

Join us for an interactive discussion on design-build within the Florida Department of Transportation District 5.

  • Insights and overview of the schedule and funding for I-75 projects and US 17/92 @ SR 436 Interchange.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of the RFP development process. You will have a chance to provide input to the FDOT on wording for the RFP that provides necessary information without limiting innovation.
  • Learn about the Design-Build Procurement Process - history, standard Schedule of Events and recent changes, ATCs and other factors influencing the Department's decisions. What is considered "Value Added"?

Guest Speakers:

  • John E. Tyler, P.E., District Construction Engineer, Florida Dept. of Transportation District 5
  • John Hatfield, Orlando Resident Engineer, Florida Dept. of Transportation District 5
  • Mark Robinson, District 5 Design Office
