Financial Literacy workshop

Northeastern Crossing has partnered with the Vincita Institute in order to bring this special financial education program to local community participants. This is one of three free monthly workshops. In these sessions, we will focus on:
- Cash Management and the various types of savings vehicles used to increase cash reserves. The workshop provides an introduction to cash management tools to plan for life's unexpected financial expenses / emergencies.
- Personal Risk Management (PRM) participants will become aware of the risks in their homes and personal lives, then discuss how to address the various associated risks.
- Investment Planning Essentials. Participants will develop a better understanding of the fundamentals of stocks, bonds and mutual funds.
- Retirement Planning Essentials. Participants will develop a better understanding of the various retirement planning vehicles available to them, i.e. IRA's, 401(k)'s and 403(b)'s.
- Estate Planning Essentials. Participants will develop a better understanding of the fundamentals of the various estate planning tools and vehicles available.
Participants who attend this course will learn how to set finacial goals and follow through on plans for economic and life achievements. Interactive exercises and thought-provoking questions will stimulate participants to adopt and maintain habits that produce personal and financial success.
