Membership Luncheon: Tax Reform 

Join the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce for an interactive discussion on current and proposed tax reforms. An overview will be given on the NYS proposed FY2019 budget, and discussion around potential mitigation options to address negative impacts that the federal cap on SALT deductibility would have on high taxed states like ours.

Ken Pokalsky, Vice President - Business Council of NYS 

Ken is responsible for management of The Business Council's government affairs staff and the Council’s overall legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts; he is also directly responsible for the Council’s lobbying on economic development and taxation issues. He has served on numerous state advisory panels, and is currently a member of the state’s Business Taxpayer Advisory Committee. Ken has been with The Business Council since 1982. He is a graduate of the SUNY Albany Graduate School of Public Affairs (MPA '83) and SUNY at Brockport (BA in Political Science, '80).

 

Daniel is a Partner with ValuQuest, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Bonadio Group, and holds over 30 years of experience in accounting and has performed business valuations on a regular basis for 18 years.  Dan is a certified public accountant and is Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also holds the Certified Valuation Analyst credential conferred upon by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).  In addition, Dan has provided financial and tax services, consulting, and management advisory services for clients in a variety of industries.  Dan is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
