We are pleased to invite you to participate in the upcoming Board Development Workshop at the Sheraton Westport Chalet Hotel in St. Louis, MO.  Through a series of interactive presentations and discussions, participants will learn ways to support mission-focused governing boards and will have the opportunity to network with other administrators, board members and Province representatives.

Program

Mr. Jack Peterson of Managing for Mission returns as our workshop facilitator to build on the success of the 2018 Board Development Workshop.  Jack will provide insight on best practices for governing boards, bringing new perspectives on how to help participants see their work through the unique lens of the Marianist charism.  The workshop wll include case studies and peer-to-peer sharing to help navigate challenging issues faced by boards of Marianist-sponsored ministries.

Participation Fee

A participation fee of $500 will be assessed for each board representative from the sponsored ministry.  The sponsored ministry will be invoiced for participation fees prior to the conference date.

Registration & Travel Information

To help us prepare for a successful conference, we ask that you register online by September 1, 2021. Please also book your travel by this date.  This is important to help plan our rooming requirements and control costs. 

In planning your travel, please arrive on Friday, October 22nd by 4:00 pm. The meeting will begin at 5:00 pm and dinner will be served.  The conference will run through Saturday evening, so departures should be booked for Sunday, March 14th.  Hotel accommodations and shuttle transportation from the airport will be provided. The shuttle operates every 30 minutes between the airport and the hotel.  Specific details about the shuttle will be sent in February.

Please note that check-in for the conference will begin at 3:00 pm based on room availability. We will work with the hotel to accommodate early check-ins when possible, especially for those traveling from Hawaii.  The hotel has a significant amount of areas to lounge and work.  There are also several restaurants in the complex if you arrive before lunch.
