2023 Head to Heart Workshop

Program:

The next Head to Heart Workshop (H2H) will be held at the Marianist Retreat & Conference Center in Eureka, Missouri on November 6 - 8, 2023.  H2H is an engaging, interactive experience that allows participants to learn to live the Marianist charism in everyday experiences and to deepen personal growth and discernment in their call to Marianist Ministry.

Participation is by invitation from the administrator of your Marianist-sponsored ministry.  Participants should have at least one year's experience in Marianist ministry.

Participation Fees:

Each sponsored ministry is allowed to send two participants to this workshop.  No participation fees are assessed for these first two participants.  Space permitting, sponsored ministries may send additional participants.  Contact the Marianist Office of Sponsorship (314-338-7229) for pricing for additional participants.

Schedule:

The workshop begins with a group dinner at 5:00 pm (Central Time) on Monday, November 6 and concludes on Wednesday, November 8 at 9:00 pm (Central Time).  Return flights should be scheduled for Thursday, November 9.  Participants are expected to be present for all sessions and activities.

Registration & Travel Information:

Please register by September 15, 2023.  Please also book your travel by that date.  The Province will provide reimbursement for airfare and luggage fees. Participants booking air travel should use routes, schedules and airlines that provide the lowest rates and most efficient travel. If driving to the conference from outside of the St. Louis area, the Province will reimburse participants for mileage. Please send a copy of your flight itinerary to Mary Holtmann. In addition to booking your flights early, we urge you to utilize the Marianist Province’s travel agent for best routing and fares, and for support should you experience any issues with your flight. The agent’s name is Mr. Chris Roth at Uniglobe Travel (314-504-2568).

Local Transportation Options

The province offers the following options for transportation to and from the airport and the Marianist Retreat and Conference Center:

Traveling from the Airport to the Retreat Center

• Participants are requested to use a ride sharing service (Uber, Lyft, etc.) or a taxi to travel from the Airport to the Retreat Center
• Basic ride sharing and taxi rates will be reimbursed by the Province

Traveling from the Retreat Center to the Airport

• The province will arrange grouped transportation from the Retreat Center to the Airport based on airline departure times
• Grouped transportation will be paid for by the Province

Use of Rental Cars

• You may choose to rent a car to travel to and from the Airport and Retreat Center if you wish
• However, rental car expenses will not be reimbursed by the Province

Please send a copy of your itinerary to Mary Holtmann (mholtmann@sm-usa.org) and she will contact you with the details on your return trip to the Airport (should you elect to use grouped transportation).
