Sundays, 8pm Central, for 3 weeks (April 1 - April 15, 2012), this group for men will meet in a private and secure online chat room. Cost: $50.00.
Do you feel as if you’re a mystery, even to yourself? Does it seem difficult for you to connect the struggles you face today with the abuse from the past? This group will look at common ways that developing people cope with abuse and dysfunction, and then connect those early coping behaviors with your current issues. You’ll be able to understand the long term impact of abuse and understand why you struggle. You will gain a new perspective on what makes you tick and how you can begin the process of change.
This online discussion group meets in a secure chat room, with a limit of six participants per discussion group. Meetings begin and end promptly, according to the posted meeting times. The room will be closed and locked after the first ten minutes of each meeting, meaning you will not be able to get into the chat room or participate in that week’s discussion.
Prior to the first meeting, you will need to set up your access account, according to the instructions provided to you at the time you registered. You may use a pseudo-name if you like. All posts are live – meaning as you write, the others in the group can read what you write, and as they write, you can see what they write. You will need to have a computer with internet access, and a valid, secure, and personal email address for communication purposes. You will also need to be able to read and write English. If you struggle with your reading level or with a learning disability, please let us know so that we can accommodate your needs.
All Groups are limited in size to six Participants and intended for persons age 18 and over.
All Groups will meet in secure online chat rooms and will require access to a computer, the internet, and have a valid, secure and personal email address (no shared email addresses).
