Torrington PAL Acting Class
PAL Acting Class will be open to young actors grades 4-8.
This 5 week course will run on Friday's from 6pm-7pm and Saturday's from 11pm-12pm beginning Friday, February 21st, 2020.
Class will be held at the Torrington PAL Office at 16 School Street Suite 106 (first floor of the glass building right off of East Main St).
Cost: $50/ child

- Basics of Acting
- Basics of Improvisation
- Integrates the ideology of bullying and inclusivity

Classes will be taught by Joey Calabrese, a Theatre Teaching Artist based in Harwinton, CT. Read his bio below to learn more!
Joey's Bio:
Hi! My name is Joey Calabrese and I am a Theatre Teaching Artist based out of Harwinton, CT. I recently just graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a BA in Theatre Performance with a double concentration in Arts Management. I have been working with children of all different backgrounds, education level, and needs for the past seven years. Throughout the past few months I have been working for innerACT Theatre Education Company traveling around Connecticut implementing theatre into a wide range of socially diverse school systems. Directing, teaching, and interacting with the students under the mentorship of Anthony DePoto has taught me the importance of the arts in young adult's lives. I also work at the Warner Theatre Center For Arts Education where I am a Theatre Educator, and in the summer, the Assistant Director of The Warner Theatre Summer Arts Program under the supervision of Isabel Carrington. I believe that integrating theatre into students' lives during their most influential years creates a more empathetic, open-minded, and imaginative individual. I believe that providing theatre to students outside of school will strengthen their ability to communicate, to interact, and to be self-aware.
