DUTIES AND STANDARDS FOR INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE AND MECHATRONICS TECHNICIANS

The National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) is pleased to announce that the first draft of the Duties and Standards for Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics Technicians are available for feedback. Please submit your registration to access the standards.  Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with links to both the survey and to the standards.  Please note that by submitting registration and receiving the standards, you are committing to provide feedback within thirty (30) days.

This is an important component for the development of a new national standard for Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics Technicians.  All NIMS standards and certifications are built by industry, for industry.  International feedback is a critical component of validating that the proposed standards meet industry needs.

The Duties and Standards for Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics Technicians are considered to be applicable across mulitiple industries and sectors.  We encourage all individuals at any company, association or education institution to submit their feedback.  Formal recognition for those who provide feedback will be added to the final publication of the Duties and Standards for Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics Technicians.
