CFA Society Edmonton in collaboration with the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (Edmonton chapter) is pleased to present the

Finance and Risk Management Career Conference

to be held on

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

 

The Finance & Risk Management Career Conference has two objectives:

1.      Financial industry professionals will speak about their industry, their company and different careers in their firm and what qualifications they look for.  These presentations help participants understand the reality of careers in finance and risk management.

2.      Simultaneously 5-10 firms are expected to set up recruitment kiosks to interact with students & recruit potential employees.

Speakers are professionals working in different areas of Finance and Risk Management while participants are students (primarily from University of Alberta, and MacEwan university), recent graduates interested in all areas of Finance and Risk Management but also Economics, Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering. 

Speakers will present about:

The industry they work in.
Their organization and company structure.
Different career opportunities in their organization relevant to the audience.
What qualifications they look for when recruiting.

This event is expecting participation from approximately 100 students and/or potential candidates who will take advantage of this great opportunity to learn about and also to network with professionals from the largest financial institutions in Alberta
