This day marks Slow Food USA's day of action called "Dig in! Breaking Ground, Breaking Bread"
Please join us for an evening cocktail reception at the Lynden Sculpture Garden, featuring foods sourced from local farmers and producers. Proceeds from "The Art of Food" will support food projects in the region and help send our representatives to Terra Madre held in Italy this October.
Our congratulations to this year's Terra Madre delegates from Slow Food WiSE: Sharon & Larry Adams of Walnut Way, and Jennifer Casey of our area's RAFT/biodiversity project. We thank you for your work to ensure that generations who follow us will have a taste for real food.
This October will mark the fourth world meeting of Terra Madre, where representatives from food communities around the world will meet in Turin, Italy. Terra Madre offers delegates a platform to foster exchanges, discussions of common challenges, and proposals for replicable solutions - all with the common goal of global sustainability in food.
