RUCK THE BAY 

Join us for this 15k (or optional 5K) military-style Ruck March to end Veteran homelessness on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m., at Presque Isle State Park, Beach 11. Participants will complete our course with a loaded rucksack and will observe memorials at every kilometer honoring local fallen heroes.

Ruck The Bay participants are encouraged to fill a rucksack or backpack with items to donate to EUMA's Liberty House, Erie's only transitional shelter for homeless Veteran men.  Suggested items
include laundry detergent, trash bags, cleaning supplies, twin sheet sets, pillows, towels and washcloths, and coin collections. Participants will then unload and donate these items at the end of the course.

Participants can also raise additional funds for homeless Veterans by asking friends and family members to pledge to their ruck. Pledges can be made online to support a specific participant by clicking here.

Ruck The Bay is open to all military personnel and civilians.

Registration starts at 1 p.m.  Day-of registration will be available.  
Ruck The Bay begins at 2 p.m.

Participation fee:

• Registration Individual: $35
• Registration Team of 4+: $30
  Now that pre-registration has ended, Ruck t-shirts are not
  guaranteed - extras will be available on first come, first serve basis
