The Oregon Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Needs is pleased to offer this training that will meet the learning needs of the community, family and health professionals in order to enhance community-based services for Oregon's children with special health needs.
Transforming Oregon's Systems of Care: Increasing Our Capacity to Serve the Whole Child,

Sessions will address strategies for enhancing community-based services for Oregon's children and youth with special health needs, including:
Target Audience:
This training is open to all interested parties including public health, health care and mental health professionals, including care coordinators, educators and parents.
Cost:
There is no registration fee for OCCYSHN program partners in our CaCoon, CCN, Family Liaison and ASD/ACCESS teams. OCCYSHN will cover travel accommodations for a limited number of the aforementioned partners that are traveling from beyond 70 miles from Portland; this will be communicated directly with all partners who are eligible.
For all others, registration fees are minimal and cover the expense per person of the training (travel expenses and arrangements will be your responsibility). Please bring a check made payable to "OHSU" to the training.
Continuing Education:
This program is currently approved by the OHSU School of Nursing for 18.00 Continuing Education contact hours. Prover is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Provider Nursing Number CEP 5464
These credits are available to all interested RNs at no additional cost.
Continuing Medical Education:
Accreditation
Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit
OHSU School of Medicine, Division of CME, designates this live activity for a maximum of 10.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
These credits are available for all interested MD/Dos at no additional cost.

OCCYSHN has a room rate of $139 + Taxes per night at the Embassy Suites, Washington Square Hotel. Please use the group code of "OCCYSHN" to acquire this rate. For those that OCCYSHN is arranging travel for, OCCYSHN staff will manage your reservation. If you are unsure whether OCCYSHN is arranging your travel, please check with your supervisor.
Skills Building Sessions:
We will be hosting training sessions for CaCoon nurses and Family Liaisons on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. More information about these sessions will be communicated directly to each group.
