This 2-day workshop by Gregory J. Meyer, Ph.D. and Philip Erdberg, Ph.D. is an intermediate level workshop for individuals already familiar with the Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS) and who wish more training and experience using the test clinically. The workshop will begin with updates on latest developments in R-PAS scoring and interpretation, including a recently refined set of scores associated with narcissistic traits. The remaining day and a half will be devoted to in-depth discussion of three assessments, involving 2 adult clients and one child or adolescent client. Workshop participants will receive the case materials several weeks beforehand so that they may study them on their own. Each case will include background information and clients’ and referring professionals’ assessment questions developed at the beginning of the assessments. During the workshop, the presenters will lead the participants in discussing scoring dilemmas, Rorschach content, interpretation of R-PAS indices, integration of R-PAS findings with other tests, and how one would answer the clients’ and referring professionals’ assessment questions. The goal is to explore the utility of R-PAS in clinical assessment in general and in Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment.
