Engage Employees to Elevate Performance

January 19, 2017 | 8:00 am to 11:30 am

London Hunt & Country Club, 1431 Oxford Street, London, ON

T he success of any business relies on the extent to which employees are interested in, committed to and engaged in their role in t  he organization. There have been dozens of studies done which have repeatedly demonstrated this point, however unfortunately the statistics have shown employees across North America are typically only 30% engaged. More importantly, family owned businesses deal with an additional challenge of managing employee perceptions of family members in the business.  In this session we will discuss how to increase engagement of employees in a family owned business, engaging leadership, family members and employees in the process.

Goals & Objectives:

  • Address misconceptions about what an engaged employee looks and acts like
  • Identify the drivers to employee engagement and disengagement
  • Discuss how engaged employees perform as compared to disengaged employees
  • Identify the risks that exist in further limiting employee engagement in a family owned business
  • Introduce methods to improve employee engagement and capitalize on your efforts
Learning Outcomes:
  • How to measure their own employee engagement levels
  • How to ensure leadership and family members can support improving engagement
  • Risks and pitfalls to avoid during the employee engagement journey
  • How to ensure new employees become engaged quickly, rather than getting in with the wrong crowd
  • Specific stages of employee engagement that must be addressed to satisfy employees in the future
