Phantom of the Opera & A Day in Historic Frederick

The Fashion and Film Clubs invite you to join us for a Frederick outing to the beautiful historic Weinberg Center for the Arts on Saturday, October 30th.

We’ll meet in the lobby of the Weinberg's theater at 1pm for a tour before the movie starts at 2pm. The lavish Phantom of the Opera (1925) starring Long Chaney, in his self-devised make-up, will feature live musical accompaniment on the mighty Wurlitzer.

Following the movie, continue on your own or with friends to Emporium Antiques at 112 East Patrick Street and  other antiques shops in historic downtown Frederick including Vintage Mid-Century Frederick at 24 E Patrick St, Eliott's Antiques at 123 E. Patrick Street, and Revival Consignment Exchange at 21 S Carroll Street. Emporium Antiques is a multi-dealer mall with over 100 dealers including pottery and vintage and antique jewelry by Fiesta Antiques, mid-century modern from E4 antiques, Antique Cellar Antiques, and Robert Quilter, and vintage fashions and accessories from Rambling Rose Antiques and Smokey Eye Vintage.
We'll reconvene for an optional dinner at 50 Carroll Creek Way at either La Casona (Mexican/Bolivian) Or The Wine Kitchen (American), two neighboring restaurants with outdoor seating.

You’re most welcome to join us in your favorite vintage 1920s attire, but it’s not necessary to attend.

Note: The Weinberg Center requires patrons show proof they meet the CDC definition of being fully vaccinated at the time of entry into the theater, or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours on the day of the performance. This applies to audience members, staff, and volunteers.
