Through this professional development, participants will learn the importance of play in early childhood education and its impact on the healthy development of young children. Types, forms and stages of play will be explored along with strategies to implement more play across the daily schedule and content areas. Hands-on activities will be demonstrated. Attendees have the opportunity to learn how to create do-it-yourself play materials for children. Techniques for sharing the value of play with families will also be provided.
This training meets OCFS 3 and CBK 4 requirements.
