Event Description:
Anyone living in Orange County will benefit from this thought-provoking and insightful discussion with some of the premier financial leaders in Orange County to learn about the current “State of Orange County”. Our experienced panel comes from various backgrounds and industries to discuss Orange County’s economy and retirement system, infrastructure and real estate, and insights from PIMCO on asset allocation in the current market environment.

SHARI FREIDENRICH, CPA
ORANGE COUNTY TREASURER
Ms. Freidenrich was elected as Orange County’s Treasurer in 2010 and re-elected in June 2014, and again in June 2018. Shari has implemented many Common Sense Changes that have saved Orange County taxpayers over $900 million since she’s been in office. She is responsible for overseeing the County’s $9 billion investment pool. Prior to her work with the County of Orange, Ms. Freidenrich was the Elected City Treasurer for the City of Huntington Beach from 1996 to 2010.
Ms. Freidenrich also serves as a trustee for the $15 billion Orange County Employees Retirement System.

Ms. Hale has been a Senior Manager with the Altus Group since 2010 responsible for appraisal and consulting on various types of investment real estate throughout the continental U.S. Prior to joining the Altus Group, Ms. Hale was the Manager of Real Estate Business Advisory Services with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 2004-2010. Ms. Hale also worked with KBS Realty Advisors and CB Richard Ellis.
EMILIE MENGHIN
Ms. Menghin is a vice president and business manager in the Newport Beach office and a member of PIMCO's executive office, contributing to firmwide strategic, financial, and operational initiatives. Previously, she was an account manager within the U.S. institutional client management group, focusing on insurance and other financial institutional clients. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2015, she interned at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. She has eight years of investment experience and holds a master's degree in finance and banking from Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck, Austria. She received an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Southern California.
