Three 1-hour "Learn & Serve" stations:
Creating Healthy Communities - service project: work in a community garden
What it Means to be Homeless - service project: make no sew blankets
Homeless but not Helpless - service project: notes of encouragement
All presentations, projects and activities will be designed by and for high school students. Guests (parents, siblings, friends) 12 & up are welcome!
Volunteers will learn about issues contributing to youth homelessness including poverty and the heroin epidemic; and why foster youth and LGBT youth are more likely to become homeless.
10:00-10:30 am - Welcome & Instructions for the day

11:30-12:30 pm - Lunch (provided), Refreshments, Games & Activities
12:30-1:30 pm - Learn & Serve Stations
