Put your faith on the table, and join Lutherans from around the state for worship, learning, advocacy and action. Lutheran Day at the Capitol will focus on our baptismal call to ministry in the public square and the unique voice of Lutheran Christians addressing hunger and poverty.  The day will include worship, a keynote address, a legislative briefing and visit training, workshops, a continental breakfast and lunch. Come to be inspired, prepared and equipped to act on issues that matter.

  • Location: Lutheran Day will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill PA, just across the river and minutes from the State Capitol. See map at the left of the page for directions.
  • Capitol Visits: The agenda includes background and training for all participants to stop by their state legislators offices to lift up common concerns on current issues. The LAMPa office will schedule sit down visits for those who wish to visit their legislators during their time at the Capitol. Shuttle bus service will transport participants between Trinity and the Capitol.
     
  • Registration Fee covers the day at Trinity and the Capitol, shuttle busses, continental breakfast and lunch.

     Registration is $25.00/Students are $15.00. Advance Registration closes on April 30.

    Payment can be made through PayPal, by sending in your check or at the door. Scholarships are available by contacting the LAMPa office. Registration will include providing the names of your state legislators to schedule visits. Find your legislators here before starting registration.

  • LAMPa 35th Anniversary Celebration will include a reception and banquet, sponsored by Lutheran Services in Pennsylvania, held in the Capitol Rotunda. Cost is $35.00 per person. There is a discount for early bird registrants attending both Lutheran Day and the Banquet.
     
  • Accommodations - A block of hotel rooms is being held at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg (located in Camp Hill) until April 30 - mention LAMPa to receive a reduced rate. Contact the LAMPa office for a list of other hotels in the area. Click here to access the Radisson website.
  • Transportation - Ample parking is available at Trinity. If you are coming by Amtrak please contact the LAMPa office to arrange a shuttle from the Harrisburg station.
     

    The Capitol Complex can be difficult to navigate, involving many steps and uneven floor surfaces. Afternoon workshops are held in several locations within two blocks of the Capitol. If you will need assistance accessing the building, or wonder if you might, please contact LAMPa staff.

Busses from the Capitol back to Trinity will run several times through the afternoon and following the end of the Anniversary Dinner at 8:00 p.m.
