Introduction to Captial Planning & Investment Control 

Course Description:

This 2-day introductory course emphasizes an in-depth review of CPIC key tenets behind OMB Circulars and the General Accountability Office (GAO) Information Technology Investment Management (ITIM) Guide as requiring the use of CPIC. We will review the latest of the on-going budget guidance changes announced annually by OMB.

 Recommended Pre-Requisites:

Some experience with or exposure to Capital Planning and Investment Control, Enterprise Architecture, Budget Formulation, and the OMB Circulars A-11 and A-130, but not required.   Students who have not taken a minimum of a 2-day course since 2012 are encouraged to attend to gain knowledge of the significant changes in business case reporting in the last several years.
