PATHS Certificate of Initial Proficiency (CIP) 

  • Here is an opportunity to advance both your career as well as your skills in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities! 

What will I learn:   

  • The PATHS CIP Program requires (60) hours of classroom instruction. 20 CIP modules, each 3 hours in length.
  • PATHS CIP candidates demonstrate their proficiency in specific competency areas through the development of a professional portfolio.
  • Each registrant is assigned a skill mentor who will guide the candidate in the completion of the PATHS CIP Portfolio.

Cost: Non Members $300, NADSP Members $270 

Scholarship: limited partial scholarships are available, complete a scholarship application & return to ksacay@cinci.rr.com 

CPDU/CEU’s: The twenty (20) CIP modules, which are each three (3) hours in length, are approved for Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD)  seminar credit including a 30-hour DODD Seminar Credit in Introduction to Developmental Disabilities and a 30-hour DODD Seminar Credit in Principles of Work/Principles of Habilitation Programming. All modules are also approved for Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDU’s) from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD).

Cancellation Policy:  PATHS must be notified 48 hours prior to a class in order to cancel a registration. This provides us the opportunity to fill your space. We are sorry, but we cannot give refunds for no shows.  If payment was to be made at the door and you have not notified us of your cancellation 48 hours in advance you will be billed.
