2023 Spring Weekend retreat

Hello Crafty friends!!! 

We are heading into Spring, which means it's time to plan another fun weekend at Camp Wildwood!

This event is for ANY Crafters, not just for Paper crafters, so you can bring whatever you'd like to work on for the whole weekend, and I will have some optional classes to offer as we get closer.
This will be our 2nd time at Camp Wildwood & we had a blast in the Fall!  You can take a look at the pics from that event HERE!  So if you don't have any friends to come with you, no worries, you'll make new ones! 

Camp Wildwood will again provide lodging and all meals for Saturday & Sunday, plus a snack Friday & Saturday evening.   From the survey responses after the weekend, everyone said they loved the food, the desserts & evening snacks, we never got hungry!  So we won't bother with a snack table this time, since we hardly touched them! But you can bring something if you'd like, but please make sure it's peanut-free in case of allergies.  

And since they don't include Friday supper, last time, some ate on their way & some of us went to local restaurants, but depending on the amount registered, I will probably pick something up for us so that we can just eat there, no time wasted away from crafting Friday night! lol But if I do, it won't cost you anything extra. 

They also provide Coffee & Tea all weekend, plus a hot water machine for your favorite warm drinks. But if you're a Timmy's addict, there is a Tim Horton's at the Bouctouche exit just minutes away. 

Lighting:  You will want to bring your desk lamp & extension cord as the lighting isn't that good in the evening and on cloudy days! 

The center is apart from the cabins, and is wheelchair accessible -  No alchool allowed on site because this is a youth camp.

So make sure you reserve your spot early with a minimum $100 (non-refundable but transferable deposit), but you save $15 if you pay in full by April 1st!  Retreat fees must all be paid no later than April 10th to guarantee that I can count on your registration, since I have a commitment to the Camp.

You will have a big crafting space - 2 per table, but if there's enough table left, the first ones who paid in full will get first dibs on getting a full table to themselves!

- Lodging - 

Each mobile home is divided in two cabins with a door that connects the 2.  Each side has 4 single bunkbeds, a sink,  toilet & shower.  But for bigger groups, I can have them keep the connecting door unlocked so  you can all be together and have access to both washrooms/showers.

So you'll need to bring your own bedding, toiletteries & towels (just like we used to do at the Shediac camp).

I will plan to have up to 4 guests per room so that nobody has to sleep on the top bunk unless you don't care.  

Bring extension cords if you need to plug anything, such as a sleep apnea machine or phones, because you could end up in a bed that's further away from one of the plugs.  I brought my own fan in case there would be snorers! lol

 

- Food bank donations -
We will have a donation box set-up again for the Moncton Food Alimentaire depot.  So please bring a non-perishable food item for the donation box.  We had a full box thanks to your generosity!  They truly apprecitated it, so thank you for your support! 

Your registration fees will include:

  • A goodie bag with Stampin'Up! products ($70-$75 value)
  • A Class kit with supplies for a make'n take class (Class valued between $45-$55)
  • Lodging for 2 nights
  • 6 meals, 2 evening snacks, plus Tea, Coffee, Water & Hot Water for your special beverages.
  • A set of Players Cards to play a couple of quickie Bingo games for a chance to win awesome prizes!  Extra sets can be purchased on site at $5/set for more chances & for the Jackpot game
  • Door prize ticket - Everyone gets a prize!
  • A chance to win the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine!

Fees: $275

  • EARLY BIRD SPECIAL:  Only $260 if paid in full by April 1st, 2023 (Save $15 when you pay early!)
  • Returning Guests' Gift:  If you were at my 2022 Fall retreat & coming back this Spring, you will receive an extra pack of embellishments in your goodie bag! :)  Yes, this year, I am doing a Goodie bag like the good old days, before Covid19 showed up! 

  • SATURDAY-ONLY option is now open:


A) $125: Just come work on whatever you'd like while enjoying the company of other Crafting buddies. Breakfast, Lunch, Supper & an evening snack will be included. You can't opt-out of this part.

You'll also be able to play the toonie draws while you're there!

 

B) $190: Same as above, but you'll also get a goodie bag with the supplies to do the make'n take projects. (Products may differ depending on availabilities) AND you'll get a ticket to the door prizes and participate in any challenges/games on Saturday!

C) Take-out only for $75 - You get all the supplies &  the PDF for the make'n take cards & layouts, but you may need to improvise a bit for the cards, or do other types of projects with the supplies. It will include the Eden's Garden bundle too! Since you won't be at the retreat to use my dies & other stamp sets for the projects, you may need to improvise a little if you don't have them at home.

 

  • All payments for the full weekend must be paid in full by April 10th, 2023 and Saturday-only registrations must be paid when I confirm your spot.
  • This event is NON-Refundable, but if you have to cancel & can't find someone to take your spot, you will still get your goodie bag of products, the make'n take kit and the PDF instructions to complete the projects at home with what you have.  Plus your name will stay in the door prize draw.  You will get all this after the retreat weekend, and if needed, I can mail it via Canada Post for a $20 fee.
EVENT CANCELLATION:
  • If I need to cancel the event for any reason after I start doing the purchases (fingers crossed I don't have to cancel!)  I will be able to give you the goodie bag, class kit/PDF, plus a $170 refund (etransfer or Gift Certificate, your choice!) And I will do a virtual draw for the prizes I have already purchased by then.  And this is because I plan on ordering as soon as the new catalogue goes live!  
  • But if I haven't made any purchases yet, then you will get the full refund of what you paid (unless you want it in form of a SU! Gift Certificate- your choice)

Saturday-only opton:

This time around, the event is filling up faster than in the fall, and there's just 4 weeks left, so since it's not filled up yet, I asked if we could accept some for just the Saturday (had a few requesting that last time), so he said ok, but their fees will be $100 with or without the 3 meals for Saturday.

So if you just want to come on Saturday, here's the 2 options and still at least 5 spots left, I asked if we could offer a few spots for Saturday only and they said yes, but their fees were $100 with or without the 3 meals on Saturday.

BRING-A-FRIEND Gift: 

If you bring a Guest who has never been to my retreats (New-to-me Guest), let me know if they registered, and I will have an EXTRA gift for you BOTH!  So make sure you spread the word & invite all of your crafty friends, the more the merrier & the better the prizes will be!  (New-to-me: I don't have them on my email contacts list or FB group/Page)

GRAND PRIZE DRAW:

Speaking of prizes, this time, I will have a Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine as a prize give-away on Friday night!!! If the winner isn't a Paper Crafter or already has one, you can easily sell it for some cash at the event or on Marketplace (Value: $110)

TOONIE DRAW:  

We always have a Bingo sheet going around all weekend.  You can buy any amount of squares @ $2 each, and the winner gets the amount collected towards a Stampin'Up! order!  We do one on Friday, Saturday & Sunday!  We always get some happy winners!  So bring your toonies if you wanna play! :)

TOOLS STATION:

I will bring all my Stampin'Up! punches, 2 Big Shots, ink pads,  heat tool (and maybe more).  You will be able to use them all weekend.  But from now on, I will keep my stamp sets, dies & embossing folders at my table (or a friend's) with a sign-out sheet to keep track.

Stampin'Up! Store & ordering:

As an Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator, I always have many retired products for sale, so I will bring what I have to my retreats.  Some are new, some are used, and you can look though and buy whatever you like. (Cash or etransfer)

I also usually have some Cash & Carry project kits and adhesive that Iwill bring with me, but if you'd like to order something from the catalogues, please send me your list by email to stampinjo@gmail.com by April 10th to make sure I get it on time for the retreat.  You can also place your order ONLINE 24/7 if you want it shipped straight to you!  I will create a Retreat Host Code as we get closer.

 By the time you order with me for the retreat, if you already paid your registration in full, you will save 15% on your order (or get 15% cash back if you order it online)

OPTIONAL CLASSES:

As usual, we will post some optional classes for anyone interested.  There will for sure be a Stamp-a-Stack cards class & a Scrabpooking class.  Once I get them ready, I will post them & share the link with all attendees & will post on our FB group that I will open just for us!

  3. If you really want to pay with your Credit Card, I can send you a Paypal or Square link, but there are fees & will be added to your total, so the first 2 options are free.
