This is a 3-part training which covers the prevalence of trauma and the developmental impact of early childhood trauma on brain chemistry, behavioral health disorders and chronic disease. The principles of trauma informed care and resiliency-based approaches as they apply to behavioral health treatment and services settings will also be explored.

Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Creative Arts Therapists, Marriage and Family Therapists, and any professional that is working in the mental health field.

Dr. Yves Ades
With over 25 years of experience in community-based behavioral health and supportive housing program design, development and management, Dr. Ades launched Ades Integrated Health Strategies in 2014 through which he has provided training and technical assistance for the implementation of best practices that facilitate engagement with high risk/high need populations. Adopting the principles Trauma-Informed Culture has been of central importance to provider organizations seeking to improve health outcomes for people with complex health care needs. Dr. Ades has worked with community-based providers and provider member organizations in New York City, Long Island, Rockland County and the Hudson Valley.
