Who Should Attend

Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Creative Arts Therapists, Marriage and Family Therapists, and any professional that is working in the mental health field. 

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will discover best practices in clinical assessment and diagnosis of anxiety disorders. 
  • Participants will formulate and employ appropriate therapeutic skills to support with, assess, and intervene with clients who have anxiety disorders. 
  • Participants will be able to identify at least three evidence-based treatment approaches for addressing anxiety disorders. 

How do we help clients move from worried to well? Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health condition in the United States, in both adults and children. This workshop will present learners with a review of diagnostic formulation of assessment and recommendations for the assessment process. Treatment approaches based in evidenced-based research will be included.

About the Presenter

            

Diane Bigler, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri and Kansas with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She has held positions as an outpatient and in-home therapist, clinical supervisor, Professor, Field Liaison and Field Instructor, Program Director, and national trainer. Diane is passionate about providing quality professional development to clinicians and employees. Diane loves to spoil her four Dachshunds and jam out to 80’s music.
