"Principles of Floral Design"

"Principles of Floral Design" is the first in a series of workshop/classes being offered by the professionals at Silk Gardens.  The purpose of this class is to familarize participants with the very basic concepts and tenets of floral design used by professionals and amateurs the world over.

Attending this class will help participants understand design concepts and styles and to gain knowledge and insight into floral design and execution.

Although this first class is primarilly an informational session, future classes will offer a more 'hands on' approach wherein participants will actually create their own floral designs.

Silk Gardens' award-winning floral designer, Fran Gantner, will share her years of experience in creating custom florals for clients ranging from retail to commercial and planning corporate events and lavish weddings.  Her approach to basic floral design is presented in a simple and easy-to-follow method sure to enhance your understanding of the creative processes used by floral designers.

The cost of this class is only $15.00 (payable at the door) and includes refreshments.
