SMC Event: The Small Business Regulatory Compliance Workshop 

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

As a small business, it is impossible to keep track of all of the changes happening at the state and federal level. Fortunately, SMC Business Councils and the law firm of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott have partnered together to update you on areas that you need to focus on, including:

• FLSA (Exempt vs. Non-Exempt)
• Protection Based on Sexual Orientation
• Pregnancy Accommodations
• Dress & Appearance Policies
• City of Pittsburgh Paid Sick Days Act

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

If you own or run a business and have employees, it is imperative you attend this program. The law does not make exceptions for business owners who are not aware of regulations or ordinances. This workshop provides you with an understanding of what the law is and provides examples of how to be in compliance.
