FOR ARTISTS AND CREATIVE PEOPLE

Plan your New Art Career! – Join artist-jeweler and business owner Monica Hansmeyer, from Seven Sister Design, to explore how you too can use your creative work to plan and finance your way to a new career.

12:45 pm – 2:15pm
Crafting an Artist Statement and Resumé – Join visual artist Alice Blessing as she shares the ins and outs of developing your work into an artist statement and resumé.

2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Notes on Self-Publishing - Follow along as author Wendell Affield guides the writer from manuscript to print and digital book.

All you ever wanted to know about grant eligibility and the application process – Join Minnesota State Arts Board to learn and ask questions directly from the source.

12:45 pm – 2:15 pm
Lights, Sound, Action, Roll ‘Em! – Join Craig Dunn from VSA to learn how Captioning, Audio Description, ASL Interpreting and Assistive Listening can attract patrons with vision/hearing loss.

UPDATED! Artist Demo Sessions
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Mike Wiltse will demonstrate a technique on making oil paint using powdered pigment, sun bleached linseed oil, grinding maul, and glass base.

Flora Jones will share special quilt stitching techniques and the various quilt styles she creates.

11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Diane Kochman shares music with her group Mixed Emotions.

12:00 pm – 1:45 pm
David Ben White will share samples of his drawings and demonstrate his process at work.

12:15 pm  - 2:15 pm
Teresa McDowell will be sewing moccasins and answering questions you might have about her work.

Ryan Stewart will share some of his unique metal creations to inspire you.

2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Deb Warren will demonstrate how to create a spiral God's eye.

 Marti Lundin shares techniques in Norwegian and Swedish painting as she paints flowers on a wood ornament.

Lance Heddan demonstrates pen and ink Prismacolor pencil drawing techniques.
