BSN-PhD Information Session 

Get an earlier start on a career in nursing research.  As a practicing nurse, you have ideas about ways to improve patient and family care. With a PhD in Nursing from Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston, you can put those ideas to the test and advance the body of scientific evidence. 

Nurses with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees can now fast-track careers in nursing science through our new BSN to PhD program.  The mission of the PhD Program in Nursing at Cizik School of Nursing is to prepare nurse leaders in the profession.

Regardless of your entry point, you will not just work toward a doctoral degree – you will build relationships and make connections that will benefit you throughout your career. Each PhD student is assigned a faculty advisor from among our outstanding research faculty who will assist you from admission to graduation
