The Barrett Street Marsh is the last remnant of a much larger wetland in the King Street area. During the last 200 years it has been ditched, drained, filled, farmed and manipulated dozens of times. In spite of this history of alteration, this rejuvenated wetland is a haven for wildlife and has played an important role in the City’s history.
