Kokoro Dance's 20th anniversary Wreck Beach Butoh Performance Workshop takes place at the EDAM Studio (303 E. 8th Ave.) at the Western Front from 12:15pm to 5:15pm Monday through Friday from June 22nd to June 26th and Monday through Thursday, June 29th to July 2nd. An undress rehearsal will take place Friday morning on July 3rd. Performances take place on Saturday, July 4th at 1:30pm and on Sunday, July 5th at 2:10pm, rain or shine.
The one-time workshop fee is $400 (+$20 GST) + $32 registration fee. Past participants pay only the $32 registration fee.
Wreck Beach is Vancouver's world famous clothing optional beach and the performances take place on the section of Wreck Beach that lies below the UBC Museum of Anthropology. Take the #4 Trail just west of the Museum. Parking is available at the Chan Centre across the street from the Museum. Give yourself at least 20 minutes to get from the parking lot to the beach.
