This free conference offers a series of mini workshops to introduce Aurora-area middle and high school students to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) academic opportunities and careers. This event also introduces young people to the Urban League's college prep and academic support prorams, Tomorrow's Scientists, Technicians and Managers (TSTM) and Project Ready.
Session 1: Transitions: This mini workshop provides information for students and parents to help understand the transition process from middle school to high school, and high school to college. The program also introduces and presents the TSTM and Project Ready programs and how they help students with transition processes.
Session 2: STEM Career Pathways: This mini workshop provides students with opportunities to explore in-demand STEM careers and educational institutions that provide support for STEM studies.
