Teach a Child, Save a Dog

Did you know that 800,000 people seek medical attention for dog bites each year?

And that children make up half of that number?

And of that number, for children under 4 years old, 90% of the bites happen in the home?

If you have dogs, kids or both - this seminar is for you!

We are hosting a free event at the North Beach Community Center, May 21, 2011 for parents and dog owners to learn about how to protect children and dogs through education. Children are also welcome to learn more about dog safety.

May 15 - 21st is International Dog Bite Prevention Week and we couldn't think of a better way to end this week than by educating parents and children within our own community of Calvert County.

Along with non-profit Doggone Safe, Kahuna's K9s is working to educate children to act safely around dogs. Doggone Safe has announced the International Dog Bite Prevention Challenge with a goal of educating 50,000 children in one week. We are going for a Guiness world record!

Come to learn and help us teach children and dogs around the world!
