At seven o'clock pm, an extraordinary Fashion Show will ensue at the Reno Ballroom. You are invited to celebrate our models who have triumphed against all odds and hopelessness. You will hear personal stories of inspiration, hope and transformation. The show will also include celebrity models including NBC's Biggest Loser winner, Michelle Aguilar, a VIP reception and live entertainment by the Romantics. Wendy Damonte of KTVN channel 2 is our Master of Ceremonies. All proceeds from this event will go to benefit the Obesity Prevention Foundation. Doors open at 5:30.

Obesity Prevention Foundation

The WBI Fashion Show is a benefit for the Obesity Prevention Foundation (OPF) with a focus on fighting the obesity problem in a very innocent and vulnerable population-- our children. The Obesity Prevention Foundation was established by the surgeons of Western Bariatric Institute to bring awareness of the growing number of children and adolescents affected by this debilitating disease. The Foundation Board of Director's has chosen Urban Roots Classroom Gardens as one of the beneficiaries of the 2011 event. Additionally, The OPF Wellness Scholarship Program will provide a scholarship to a child, age 12-18,  who will be given a 12 week medically-supervised weight loss journey from OPF partner, iMetabolic. iMetabolic is a non-surgical medically supervised weight loss alternative. The selected child will become the 2011 Youth Ambassador for OPF and will be a introduced at the event.
