30 January 2019: DPAAS Meeting Invitation

We are very pleased to announce that Major Tyler J. Hardy, AFLCMC/WNY, will be our speaker at the 30 January (Thursday) DPAAS meeting, 11:30-1:30 pm, 2800 Presidential Drive, Holiday Inn, Fairborn, Ohio. Major Hardy will discuss “Acquisition of Resilient-Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System (R-EGI).”  

Abstract:  The USAF PNT Program Office is executing the R-EGI program to provide the warfighter enhanced PNT capabilities and to ensure flexibility-by-design to insert new capability as PNT threats evolve. The acquisition approach uses the 804 Authority for rapid prototyping structured using a Design Agent. This approach is quickly gaining momentum throughout DoD as the need for developing new complex capability is requiring a combination of increased ownership of the technical baseline and incremental validation through prototypes. This presentation will provide a status of the R-EGI program, including the planned capability R-EGI, and schedules and use of prototypes.

Major TJ Hardy is the program manager for the R-EGI program in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. Maj Hardy joined the Air Force in 2009 through the ROTC program at the University of St. Thomas, and has held assignments in operational test, acquisitions, Air Force Institute of Technology, the Air Force Research Laboratory.
