John Suh is the Managing Director of Hyundai Ventures, which focuses onmaking strategic investments and business partnerships in the United States forthe Hyundai Motor Company. Hyundai Ventures’ currently has four areas ofinterest: 1) intersection of mobile devices, the Internet, and the car, 2) automotivecleantech, 3) intelligent systems and manufacturing technology, and 4) newbusiness models for personal mobility, enterprise collaboration, and theautomotive supply chain.

Prior to joining Hyundai, he worked at General Motors, Xerox PARC (Palo AltoResearch Center), and several Silicon Valley startups where he has had roles incorporate investing, product management, and R&D. John has a BS degree in electricalengineering from Kettering University and an MS and PhD degree in mechanicalengineering from Stanford University.

John is also the chair of the Consumer Electronics Association standardssubcommittee on wireless power. John has numerous technical publications andhas 5 patents and patents pending in the fields of robotics, artificial nosetechnology, and location based services.

Ted Serbinski is an entrepreneur and early stage investor leading the startup renaissance in Detroit. He is the Managing Director of Techstars Mobility, driven by Detroit. Previously he was a Partner and founding team member of Detroit Venture Partners. Ted has co-led investments in 24 companies over the past 3 years, with 13 of those headquartered in Detroit. Before moving to Detroit from San Francisco, Ted was a co-founder and CTO of ParentsClick. With the 4th largest social network and the largest blog network for moms online, Lifetime Television acquired ParentsClick in 2008. Ted graduated from Cornell in 2004, with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. Ted resides in Metro Detroit with his beautiful wife and son.

Alexander Klatt is Chair of MFA Transportation Design & Associate Professor at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit

 A designer and engineer who has enjoyed a diverse career as both creative professional and business leader, joined the College for Creative Studies in January 2014. He served most recently as Vice President of Global Design at Fisker Automotive from 2008-2013, where he led a world-class development team for the innovative Karma and Atlantic platform, among the world’s first luxury hybrid electric cars. In addition to leading Fisker’s design studio, Klatt designed the interior of the Karma and Atlantic himself and established the company’s brand identity.

Prior to his work at Fisker Automotive, he also held design and engineering leadership roles from 1989-2008 at Mercedes Benz and the BMW Group in Germany as well as BMW-DesignworksUSA in California.
