Scrabble Tournament 2011

Fundraiser for GED Test Scholarship Fund

Use your Scrabble skills to help adult learners in the Portland metro area. Proceeds from this tournament are donated to the Portland Literacy Council GED Test Scholarship Fund. (Applicants typically pay about $125 to take the series of five tests to earn a GED.)

  • Win prizes!! 
  • Enjoy happy hour menu and drinks during tournament.
  • Format: two one-hour games with intermission. Standard rules with a few tweaks to benefit the GED fund.
  • Team up with a friend or Scrabble partner. (No partner, no worry. We'll find you one.)
  • $25 per person. Register here. Pay at the door -- cash or check, please. Or mail a check for registration fees to Portland Literacy Council, Scrabble Tournament, PO Box 2872, Portland, Oregon 97208-2872. 
  • Learn your two-letter words, brush up on your scoring strategies, practice unjumbling letters for bingos.
