50 Years of HOTLAB: Preparing for Tomorrow

Half a century ago the first meeting of the working group “Hot Laboratories and Remote Handling" was held in Cadarache, France. Over the years, the working group HOTLAB became the major contact forum for technicians, operators, engineers, researchers and managers working at and for nuclear R&D facilities.  Starting off on a European basis and with a limited number of participants we now welcome more than 100 participants coming from all over the world each year at our meeting.

50 years of HOTLAB working group also means more than 5 decades of operating and managing hot laboratories. It seems that we have now come to a point where we should reflect on the past, describe our journey and prepare for tomorrow!

Please allow us to extend a warm welcome to you at this special anniversary meeting.

Ann Leenaers

Chairwoman HOTLAB working group
