2020 Cybersecurity Workshop

Join us on April 23, 2020, for the Region 6 Critical Infrastructure Working Group Cybersecurity Workshop. Hear from expert cyber speakers and panelists, engage in timely dialogue, learn about the current cyber landcape, and see how stakeholders can partner together to protect the security and increase the resilience of our region and critical infrastructures.

Topics to include: 

  • Threat Briefing on Latest Cyber Threats, Info Sharing, & Trends
  • Cyber Self-Defense: Real-world Case Studies in Empowering Staff as Frontline of Defense
  • Cybersecurity and Privacy
  • What Should be on the Radar for Board of Directors, Executives, and CISOs?
  • Are You Overlooking an Endpoint? The Forgotten Printer
  • The Connected Worker: Technology and the Line Between Home and Office

Goals of the workshop include: 

  • Hear from experts on the latest cyber threats and strategies that can be taken to stop or mitigate the impact of a cyber breach. 
  • Strengthen partnerships between local, county, state, federal, and private sector partners. Develop a better understanding of the interdependencies that exist in our region and how working together is critical to ensuring resilience. 
  • Network with public and private sector stakeholders. Building trusted relationships and partnerships is key to staying resilient when an event occurs. 
  • Learn about regional resources that are available. There are many resources that are available to strengthen the security of your organization. What are they?

Cost to Attend: Absolutely Free! Continental networking breakfast and lunch will be provided. Free parking is available.

Who Should Attend: Emergency managers, cybersecurity directors and managers, law enforcement, IT professionals, business continuity professionals, control systems technicians, all private and public sector cyber security stakeholders. 

This workshop is funded by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security and distributed through the King County Office of Emergency Management Region 6 Critical Infrastructure Working Group.

This workshop is being facilitated by the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) and the Center for Regional Disaster Resilience (CRDR).
