We’re coming closer to the vision of the personal infosphere. Integration platforms and applications increasingly align data streams at a personal level. Organizations are adapting. Communities are adapting. Families are adapting. Individuals  are adapting. And all are often innovating in this massive transformation to a data-rich world.

Several mediaX research themes address how these new capabilities contribute to well-being and productivity. Scholars across the disciplines have explored the deep science as well as the application opportunities. In short, we have some answers. Importantly, we have some new questions.

At the mediaX 2014 Conference on April 29^th, mediaX researchers will describe recent advances in harnessing global information technology for increased productivity and well–being.   Our research provides insights on how technology can optimize personal, team and organizational productivity.  We’ll share our perspectives on the new issues that we believe are important for well-being in the future, with a particular emphasis on sensors, security, self-tracking.
