Those things are key in the mission of Compassion and are the theme for our August 6, 2020 VIRTUAL Fundraising Banquet. After prayerful consideration and discernment, we’ve adjusted this event to being completely virtual for this year.
We recognize that COVID-19 impacts the ability and comfort of gathering in groups for many people. Your safety and peace are important and so we've pivoted this event so that you can be involved, whether you’d like to watch from home, or view at a Watch Party at a home with just a few people. We’ll even help you host a Watch Party if you’d like.
Please join us, viewing individually or at a Watch Party, for our 25th Annual Fundraising Banquet on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 7:00 PM.
Option 1. Join us at a Watch Party Host's home for a small group watch party. We'll provide the same materials that you would have at the in person event. It is important that you register so that we can support the host with materials for you.
Option 2. Join us online from your own home. We'll work to drop off to you the same materials that you would have at the in person event. So please be sure to register so that we can send you the direct link options as well.

This annual vital event presents an excellent opportunity to learn more about the ministry and how you can be involved in making a life-changing impact in our community. This year's keynote speaker, Nada Higuera, Esq., is passionate about advocating for her clients and sharing her own powerful story. We'll also share a perspective from one of our clients, an update from our Executive Director, and an opportunity to make a financial gift will be extended. We appreciate your lifesaving support.
Details for Virtual Events:
When you register, you'll share your contact info so that we can send links and important details directly to you. We'll never sell or share your contact info and promise to not fill your email box or texting app. The virtual events will begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 6. So, whether you gather with a few people to share a meal together, or iced tea and light snacks, or even just snuggle up in the comfort of your own home, you'll be an integral part of this event.

Brief Biography for Nada Higuera, Esq:
Nada Higuera is a devoted Christian lawyer with Advocates for Faith & Freedom—a California-based non-profit law firm dedicated to protecting religious liberty.
She spearheaded the legal challenge against the Reproductive FACT Act, or AB-775 in California courts that would have effectively forced pregnancy resource centers statewide to advertise taxpayer-funded abortion and birth-control programs in their waiting rooms, signage and communications. Higuera took the case because it was, in her words, “blatantly unconstitutional.”
The issue would eventually wind up at our nation’s Supreme Court. Yet Higuera had a much deeper connection to the case she was arguing—one that had slammed into her as a teenager, but had since remained mostly out of sight and out of mind. But’s that’s not the end of the story. Join us to hear what only God could do in the law and in Nada’s life.
