Join the ASCE and TSPE Chattanooga Branches for an on-line meeting and presentation Tuesday, May 18, 2021 as we hear from guest speaker, Andrew Romanek, the Senior Engineer and Project Manager of The Dextra Group about “3rd Party Owners on Environmental Projects: How Do You Manage These Critical Stakeholders.”
Regardless of the type and nature of the project, essentially all civil and environmental engineers at some point must work on a project being implemented on a property or at a facility that is not owned by the client or must negotiate access or an easement through a property to get to the subject property. How collaborative, or not as the case may be, these 3rd party owners can be often makes a big difference in the success of a project.
This presentation will highlight a few cases studies where remediation was performed on or adjacent to a site not owned by the client performing the remediation. Examples of both successful and not so successful collaboration will be provided along with insight on what strategies work best. Additionally, audience participation will be solicited for how they may have handled each situation differently and any lessons learned from their projects.
