Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers for teenagers with the help of clergy and adult lay leadership. Any high school student who has already attended Happening may apply to serve as staff. In addition to this online application, all applicants must also have their rector or another priest at their church complete the Clergy Reference Form for Happening Staff Applicants (click here to download) and mail it to Joy Owensby, Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana, P.O. Box 225, Alexandria, LA 71309.
The staff chosen to serve will be those applicants whose gifts and experience best fit the ministry needs of Happening. Any applicants not selected will be considered alternates, and they may be called upon to serve in the event we need additional staff.
Applicants must be certified in Safeguarding (Meet Sam, It Happened to Me, and Keeping Your Camp Safe) prior to submitting an application. Staff members who are selected are required to attend the following meetings:
- Saturday, 12/2/17, 10 am - 3 pm @ Camp Hardtner
- Saturday, 12/16/17, 10 am - 3 pm @ Camp Hardtner
- Friday, 1/5/18, 7 pm - Saturday, 1/6/18, 3 pm @ Camp Hardtner
