Our grand finale event will be a breastfeeding and parenting seminar at the St. Louis Zoo!

Seminar registration fees:

LLL Members & WIC moms $30.

Non-members $35.

Everyone attending seminar sessions aged three and older must be registered. Lunch is included.

Non-separating babies are welcome at the seminar.  Older children may enjoy visiting the animal exhibits with a loving caregiver. 

Register early.  Spaces are limited.

On-line registration closes Sept. 29.

No refunds will be issued, but if your plans change, you may send an alternate in your place.    

Free parking  for the seminar is available on the Zoo's South Lot if you arrive before 8:30 a.m.   After 8:30 parking costs $12 per vehicle.

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing breastfeeding education, information, support, and encouragement.  La Leche League groups meet regularly throughout the greater St. Louis area. 

There are times when a breastfeeding mother needs support and encouragement from someone who has successfully breastfed her own baby.

La Leche League Leaders are:  

  •  experienced breastfeeding mothers
  • trained and accredited by La Leche League International
  • able to help with all aspects of breastfeeding
  • volunteers who care about YOU!

Join us all week as we celebrate breastfeeding throughout the St. Louis area!

Sunday:  Kickoff Celebration at Creve Coeur Park. 5:30 pm - 7 pm.
Help us kick off World Breastfeeding Week by walking, running, or biking around the lake. Meet at the Tremayne Shelter (off Marine Avenue near the Maryland Heights Expressway) at 5:30 pm; walk begins promptly at 6 pm.

Monday:  Playdate at Suson Park. 10 am - 2 pm.  
6059 Wells Road, St. Louis, MO 63128. Pack a picnic lunch and meet us at the playground at 10 am. We'll play, have lunch, and visit the animals at the Suson Animal Farm Display.

Tuesday:  Visit the Butterfly House at Faust Park. 9 am - 12 pm.
15185 Olive Boulevard, Chesterfield, MO 63017. Enjoy free admission to the Butterfly House from 9 am - 11 am, then stay and play at the Faust Park playground. Carousel rides are available for $1.

Wednesday:  Fundraising Dinner at Noodles and Company. 4 pm - 9 pm.  10925 Olive Boulevard, Creve Coeur, MO 63141. Have dinner with your family, and a percentage of your purchase price will be donated to La Leche League.

Thursday:  Ride the MetroLink to the City Garden. 11 am - 2 pm.  
Meet up with other moms in your local La Leche League group (talk with your Leader to determine meeting time and location) and ride the MetroLink together to the station at 8th and Pine. Walk one block south to the City Garden. Don't forget to show your support for breastfeeding by wearing your favorite Breastfeeding T-shirt!

Friday:  October Harvest at Daniel's Farm and Greenhouse. 11 am - 2 pm. 352 Jungermann Road, St. Peters, MO 63376. Bring your whole family and enjoy the fall fun! Activities include a petting zoo, straw mazes, swings, pony rides.

Saturday:  "Breastfeeding and Parenting:  Making It Work." 9 am - 3 pm.  
Join us for this breastfeeding and parenting seminar at the St. Louis Zoo River Camp at the River’s Edge.  Expand your parenting knowledge with sessions about breastfeeding and working, breastfeeding beyond infancy, weaning when the time is right, playful learning, easy meals for new mothers, taking great photos of your kids, and more!  See seminar information above for more details.
