Program Description

Designed to be interactive, this presentation addresses how planned giving officers deal with issue of diminished capacity, undue influence and potential conflicts of interest.  The session also discusses court cases which deal with charities, development officers and allegations of undue influence and diminished capacity.

Presented by Stacey McKinley, Esq.

 Director of Gift Planning, Cleveland Clinic

Stacey McKinley has worked in the Cleveland Clinic Philanthropy Institute for about ten years, the last five as Director of Gift Planning.  She is also an adjunct professor at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where she teaches Non Profit Corporations.  Stacey was just elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (term beginning January 2022) and is a past president of the Northern Ohio Charitable Gift Planners.
