Join us for NCPGC’s annual review of new laws, recent cases, and topical issues in charitable gift planning.

Barbara Rhomberg is partner of Kavanagh Rhomberg LLP, a Northern California law firm that represents nonprofit organizations and their charitable donors on the unique legal issues of the nonprofit ector, including forming nonprofit organizations and obtaining tax-exempt status, planned and charitable giving, limits on lobbying campaign intervention for exempt organizations, grant compliance, endowments and donor-restricted funds, and nonprofit corporate governance.

A graduate of Stanford Law School, Barbara practiced tax and corporate law at two San Francisco law firms and worked as an attorney in the University of California’s Office of General Counsel before launching her own firm.  She was an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she taught a course on nonprofit organization law, and is a former chair of Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyers Association.  She is currently on the Board of Directors of Community Initiatives and is a long-time member of the Northern California Planned Giving Council.
