Basic Threat Assessment Training   (ONLINE CLASS)

Join us for a one-day course, taught online, on best practices in behavioral threat assessment and threat management, taught by SIGMA Threat Management Associates.  Threat assessment is the current best practice for preventing campus  violence, workplace violence, school violence, stalking, and violence against public officials and public figures.

Class Description 

This one-day course teaches participants how to assess threats and other disturbing behavior, take steps to reduce risk, and prevent violence and stalking. The course includes tabletop exercises to provide participants with opportunities to practice using best-practice procedures in behavioral threat assessment and threat management.   

The class covers the following topics:

• Overview of different types of violence
• Understanding targeted violence and how it can be prevented
• Building a threat assessment team or program
  
• Steps in the threat assessment & threat management process
  
• Tabletop exercises that allow participants to practice using threat assessment procedures
  
• Interaction with instructors through live Q&A throughout the class

Registration Fee

Course fee is $150 per person.                                              Participants receive handouts, case worksheets, and a course completion certificate.
