Land Access Educational Summit # 1

Transitioning Farmland to the Next Generation of Farmers

Sponsorship Interest

As we know, access to land for farming and conservation purposes is vitally important as more and more farmland will change hands in the coming years. Bringing together beginning and retiring farmers in a way that allows for education and networking is one way to bridge the gap to farmland preservation. Our team, Southwest Land Access Parners, is a group of educators, non-profit organizations and government agencies. This group is an extension of the Good Food Kalamazoo working group focused on farmland use and access in the greater Kalamazoo area.

Southwest Land Access Partners will hold its first educational summit on February 2, 2018 at Kalamazoo Valley College, Culinary Allied Health Building from 9:30 AM- 3:30 PM. The goal of this educational summit is to help landowners understand succession planning as it pertains to land protection and transfer and to assist beginning farmers in understanding how to acquire land.

Southwest Land Access Partners are looking for donations from organization like yours to support this educational summit. Your donation will help to provide a high quality educational experience for farmers in the greater Kalamazoo region. Every donation is important, and anything you can give is helpful. Donations, from organizations like yours will allow us to deliver an effective educational summit. Support in this form will provide your organization with free publicity in the greater Kalamazoo region and and free admission to our educational summit.

There are two Sponsorship options:

  • Option 1: Summit Supporter $50: Offers online organizational recognition and admission to the summit for two.
  • Option 2: Summit Sponsor $100: Offers online and event organizational recognition. The opportunity to exhibit and admission to the summit for two.
