2020 Sand Season Clinics

Sand for the 2020 season will be done through module training. Starting in 2021, Beach Elite will bring back a revamped Sand Club.
There will be 3 modules, each for 3 days, all being offered twice. Each module is $40.

Module 1) This is a Novice level camp. It is preferred that you have played organized volleyball at any level. This module will serve as an introduction to the game of sand volleyball assuming that you already have a basic understanding of most rules and have been taught the foundations of pass, setting, attacking and serving.

Module 2) This is an intermediate level camp. It is preferred that you have played at least one year of organized indoor volleyball at a competitive volleyball for school or club OR at least one summer of organized sand volleyball at any level. This module will expand on the skills and concepts of Module 1 by going further into theory and skill development. At this level we assume you are able to execute all the skills listed in Module 1 as well as being able to jump while attacking and serve overhand.

Module 3) This is an advanced level camp. It is preferred that you have played at least two year of organized indoor volleyball at a competitive volleyball for school or club OR at least one summer of organized sand volleyball at a competitive level. This module will expand on the skills and concepts covered in Modules 1 and 2 by going further into team, offensive, and defensive theory, as well as skill development. At this level we assume you are able to execute all the skills listed in Modules 1 and 2 as well as being able to block and set with your hands.

*** This is set up as a tiered system of player development. The suggested requirements are to give you an idea of the level of play and knowledge base that is expected out of an athlete prior to the start of that Module. However, we realized that it takes years to develop all the skills that are necessary to be a lifelong sand volleyball player. This is why we will allow any player who completes a Module can forgo the suggested requirements in the next higher Module. This means that if you have completed Module 1 but are not able to serve overhand or do not meet the suggested playing experience, you are still welcome to attend Module 2. The same is to be said for going from Module 2 to Model 3. It is not our intent to develop you into a olympic caliber player in three days. But to expose you to the skills and theory it takes to be a successful player at all levels of the game.
