Dementia Care: Best Approaches and Responses to Dementia-Related Behaviors

Join us for a free webinar on how to approach and respond to dementia-related behaviors.

Topic: Dementia Care: Best Approaches and Responses

Date: January 12th

Time: 5:30 PM EST (1 hour)

People living with dementia will often experience a variety of dementia-related behaviors that they cannot control.  These behaviors can range from repeating the same statement or questions over and over again, pacing, wandering, agitation, and refusal to do personal care tasks.

This program will give you insight into what dementia-related behaviors mean and how to best respond to them.  You will also be given an overview on how dementia affects the brain and how it makes cognitive functioning such as, memory, judgement, and reasoning almost impossible for the person.

Dementia-related behaviors can lead to a lot of frustration and arguments that cause stress for both the person with dementia and their family members.  Participants will walk away from this program with greater clarity on what their loved one is capable of and a frame of reference on what a person with dementia is no longer capable of doing.  Lean the optimal approaches and responses to managing behvaior and become a more confident caretaker.
