ABOUT MARQUERITE "MARGO" MCCLINTON STOGLIN

Marguerite "Margo" McClinton Stoglin is the Chief Philanthropy Officer of Equest and former Texas State Director for IGNITE, a nonpartisan 501c3 that trains the next generation of political leaders. Margo comes to IGNITE from a long career in the non-profit and educational sector, with experience in operations, communications, fundraising, governance, and human resources. Margo has served in higher education positions at Washington and Lee University, Florida State University, Washington University in St. Louis, Paul Quinn College, and Southern Methodist University. Margo holds a BA from Emory University, a Master's in Education from Harvard University, an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas, and a doctorate from Florida State University. She is the founder and president of CRM & Associations, a small minority certified management consulting firm started in 2011.

Under Margo's leadership, IGNITE has doubled the number of schools IGNITE trains in the state of Texas. She was instrumental in expanding the organization into San Antonio and Austin. She is responsible for the fundraising, partnerships, and programs for the state. IGNITE is part of a national movement to increase the number of women running for political office. She has been recognized by The Dallas Business Journal, Who's Who of Black Dallas, and Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce.

She is active in the community. She is currently a Board of Trustee for the Family Place, Director with the Texas Lyceum, Active Member of the Fort Worth Rotary, Junior League of Dallas Sustainer, Leadership Dallas Alum (Class of 2012), and an active member of the Alpha Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She is a former grants committee member for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, a former member of the Granger Ministry, former Genesis Shelter Young Professional Board Member, a former member of the Texas Horse Park Board, and Rainbow Days Auxiliary. She is a graduate of Young Public Voices of Dallas, CCC Leadership Program with Marsha Clark, and Real Estate 101 Training with the Dallas Real Estate Council.

Margo is the co-author of three published books. She has appeared in the media on CBS and WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas/Fort Worth. She has quoted and published works in The Texas Tribune, The Dallas Morning News, KERA, and The Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

In 1996, she was a member of Emory University’s first ever National Championship tennis team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children Lillian (11) and Warren (2). Her hobbies include: traveling, movies, and playing sports.
